Since post-SXSW Twitter has become another case where one’s blogging credentials may be pulled in the absence of a relatively timely post on the topic, here’s my take…
I don’t have a Twitter account, I’m not particularly interested in the ability to moblog any thought that pops into my head, and I consider it a good day when the only messages that come in to my phone are the reminders that I set for myself via Backpack.
So why, then, do I like Twitter?
For the most mercenary of reasons, of course.
As Twitter becomes more popular it lends authority to one of my favorite recent coinages: blogtwitter. (For those who really need a definition, that’s what happens when millions of bloggers simultaneously go all a-twitter on a particular story or topic. Kind of like what’s happened with Twitter. See how cleverly this all fits together?)
